Acta Oecologica Carpatica – Founded in 1994, as Acta Oecologica – Studii şi Comunicări de Ecologie şi Protecţia Mediului (14 volumes in small format were printed under that name). The constantly increasing presure from the potential authors for this publication induced the necesity of a change, therefore a new series called Acta Oecologica Carpatica, printed in large format and entirely in English started in 2008.
